Why Should You See

Why Should You See A Private Paediatrician?

Children's health can change quickly, and it is not always obvious whether a symptom needs looking at or will settle on its own.

A persistent cough, repeated infections, unexplained tiredness, fainting, a heart murmur, slow growth or a suspected food allergy may all turn out to be minor. They may also be worth assessing properly, particularly when they keep returning or start to affect school, sleep or day to day life.

Seeing a private paediatrician in Milton Keynes means your child is assessed by a Consultant Paediatrician from the first appointment, with time to talk through the history in full. Our service helps you understand what may be affecting your child, with clear guidance on the possible next steps and, where a sub-specialist opinion is needed, a referral through the consultant's established network.

Why Choose Your Private Paediatrician At Bloom Health?

Two consultant-led services are being introduced at our Milton Keynes clinic. Register your interest and we will let you know as soon as each is available.

Coming Soon

Private allergy testing for children

Skin prick testing for children, arranged and interpreted by the consultant during your appointment rather than as a standalone walk-in test, whether the concern is a suspected food allergy, cow's milk allergy in a baby, or eczema that may be triggered by something specific.

What it checks for

Common food allergens, pollen, dust mite and pet dander, chosen with the consultant based on your child's symptoms.

Consultant led

Arranged and interpreted by Dr Nair as part of the paediatric appointment.

Same visit results

Results are usually ready within 15 to 20 minutes, so you leave with clear answers.

Coming Soon

A 24 hour ECG for children, consultant led, for palpitations, unexplained fainting or a suspected POTS assessment in a teenager. The paediatric holter monitor is reviewed personally by Dr Nair, who holds a special interest in children's heart conditions.

Who it helps

Children with palpitations, dizzy spells or fainting who need more than a single snapshot ECG.

Reviewed by a consultant

Read and reported by Dr Nair, Consultant Paediatrician.

Worn as normal

Lightweight and worn under clothing, so your child can go to school as usual during monitoring.
