Employer-Funded Health Screening
Is Tax Efficient

Under HMRC's employment income manual (EIM21765), employer-funded health screening is not a benefit in kind. This means no personal tax liability for the employee, no Class 1A National Insurance for the employer, and the cost qualifies as an allowable business expense - eligible for corporation tax relief of up to 25%. Up to one health-screening assessment and one medical check-up per employee per tax year qualify. Employers can restrict the benefit to key staff and directors or extend it across the whole workforce.
