At Bloom Health Hospital, our onsite imaging & screening suite brings together CT, Ultrasound, X-ray and Echo, supported by trusted MRI partners in Milton Keynes, to help you and your clinician understand what's going on and plan the right next steps.
Bloom Health’s imaging and screening services are seamlessly integrated across our Urgent Care Centre, self-directed diagnostic access, and specialty care pathways; striving to deliver rapid, accurate results and insights when they matter most.
A modern onsite imaging suite within easy reach of our clinicians.
Scans that support assessment of injuries, sudden pain, abdominal or pelvic concerns, chest symptoms, headaches, musculoskeletal issues and more, where clinically appropriate.
A focus on clarity, reassurance and safety, not scare tactics or unnecessary tests.
We provide a range of medical imaging services in one place, helping to minimise delays and reduce the need to travel between different sites.
Imaging is not always necessary, but it can be extremely helpful when used at the right time, for the right reason. If you’re unsure whether you need a scan, our team will listen to your concerns and explain your options in clear, simple terms.
Sudden or ongoing pain that needs further investigation
A recent injury or suspected fracture
Abdominal or pelvic discomfort that requires more than a physical examination
Chest symptoms, such as breathlessness or persistent discomfort
Soft tissue lumps or swellings that need characterisation
Musculoskeletal injuries, such as sports injuries or joint problems
A known condition that requires monitoring
Your safety is central to everything we do.
All imaging is carried out by trained clinicians, radiographers, sonographers or appropriate staff.
Radiation safety is taken very seriously; X-ray and CT use the lowest practical doses needed to obtain diagnostic images.
We will always discuss whether an imaging test is necessary and appropriate before proceeding.
Ultrasound uses sound waves and involves no radiation.
Echo is non-invasive and painless.
Imaging results are interpreted by accredited reporting clinicians or partners, and then explained to you in plain language.
We keep the process as straightforward and supportive as possible:
You’ll first be seen by a clinician, who will discuss your symptoms, examine you where appropriate, and decide if imaging is likely to be helpful and safe.
Based on your presentation, the clinician will decide which imaging test (if any) is appropriate - such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT, Echo, or referral for MRI through our partners.
If a scan is needed and available, it may take place during your visit or be booked for a suitable time. For MRI, we will help you access a local partner service.
Once your imaging has been reviewed by the appropriate reporting clinician, a member of our clinical team will explain what the findings mean and discuss any recommended next steps.
We will not promise specific turnaround times or immediate reporting, but we will always be honest about what to expect and keep you updated wherever possible.
